Introduction

What is Entrepreneurship?


Entrepreneurship can be defined as the desire and willingness of a person to develop, organize, manage a business venture and take risks in order to make a profit. To develop entrepreneurship, the easiest way is by starting a business.
In Universiti Utara Malaysia (UUM), entrepreneurship becomes the core subject in the university. The purpose of this subject is to develop and encourage students on fulfilling their vision and mission. Besides that, students who are interested in starting their own business can also have the chance to have their preparations on filling in with entrepreneurship knowledges.
As we know, every successful entrepreneur is different from normal individual. Most of them are not born to be an entrepreneur. Some of them are forced to be an entrepreneur because of living in the poor environment. By doing this assignment, we are able to know that how entrepreneurs start their business from nothing, how they become so successful, and how they overcome every obstacle they faced.
There are several entrepreneurial traits that highly needed to become a successful entrepreneur such as networked, open risk taker, observant, visionary, failure is an option, open culture, outcome oriented, team oriented and proactive.
